TESTIMONIALS We would like to thank the clients below for taking the time to let us know
how you feel about our services - Thank you
When our much loved hoof trimmer left
for America, we wondered if we would ever be able to replace someone who had
taken such trouble to be really good with the horses.
Thank goodness we found
Gene!
We here are very fussy about the way in
which our horses are handled and heaved a big sigh of relief to realise
that Gene is not only a great hoof trimmer, but he is brilliant with the
horses. He is polite, gentle, sensitive and responsive to their needs and
they respond well to him because of it. I think the feet
trimming skills are only a fraction of what I look for in a good
trimmer and I am happy to say that Gene exceeds my requirements in both
areas. I am very glad to welcome him to our horse
team.

I own and run a small scale horse breeding stud and have a herd of 10 mares/fillies. I have been using Gene to trim them for a while now and my horses hooves have never looked better. I have been nothing but impressed with the trimming job that Gene has been doing and I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone at the drop of a hat. I have already encouraged several people I know to employ the services of Gene and they are all suitably impressed with the results. Not only is he good at what he does, but he is easy to get along with, turns up on time, is very good with the horses (extremely understanding and patient with young ones) and is always willing to share his knowledge with others. All of this makes for a much more pleasant experience for both horse and owner at trimming time.
As an added extra, Genes wife Kylie has a broad knowledge of both horses and horse care and is always willing to help out and share information if someone is experiencing a problem, be it, fitting and supplying hoofboots, to educating owners about different herbs and their uses, or even helping someone start out in endurance and they make for a very helpful and informative pair
Gene from Bare it All Hoof Care has trimmed 5 of my horses since early 2009 and I have to say I could not be happier! He is professional, calm caring and patient with the horses with a natural affinity with them. He always ensures it is an enjoyable experience even for the youngest most inexperienced of horses.
When Gene moved to the North West Coast I was devastated as he is the one person I truly trust with my horses feet and the horses themselves. I have had Gene trim whilst I was away! Luckily for me and his other regular clients in Southern Tasmania three months later we have convinced him to return back down to us for monthly visits!! (My horses feet couldn't be happier).
I highly recommend Bare it All Hoof Care, without a doubt in my mind. My horses feet have never looked better. It is just an added bonus that he is a true horse person, incredibly knowledgeable about hooves, with over 9 years experience in trimming (and now about to extend that knowledge base further by attending the Diploma of Equine Podiotherapy in Melbourne) is great at what he does and genuinely cares about your horse as a whole. It is nothing for Gene to stop trimming and give the horse a break and a cuddle.
I learnt more about feet in one morning with Gene than I have in years of owning horses. Thanks from all of us for making the trip back down South and taking care of our neddies!! I am wrapped!

Gene has trimmed my horses since he relocated to North West Tasmania. I am very happy with his work. Gene is prompt, professional and friendly and has an excellent manner with horses. I have found that hoof trimming for Gene is not a job it is a passion as he has such a wealth of knowledge about horses feet. He is always more than happy to answer any questions I have and explains what he is doing when trimming and because of this i have learnt some much about horses feet. I cannot recommend Gene highly enough to people who would like to go natural with their horses feet. You and your horse have nothing to lose but so much to gain from Gene.

I have been using Gene for my farrier needs since mid 2009. I wanted to change to a barefoot trimmer than a traditional farrier as I myself have looked into barefoot trimming and find it very beneficial for horses.
Gene has offered a fantastic service that i have NEVER experienced with any other trimmer. His knowledge, experience and horsemanship is second to none I can only highly recommend his trimming to everyone. My horse Mr Slim Shady has amazing looking feet thanks to Gene. I Wish Gene all the success in the future and he will always be our trimmer.

My horse's feet were a disaster, like dinner plates. Also my mare had recently fractured her knee which twisted her feet in, very ugly sight. I was unhappy with the last 2 farriers I had so I decided to try Gene.
My gelding has never had so sound feet! Being a ex-race horse his feet always had to be shod because of the huge cracks, now three months later he is a new horse. The change from the first to the second trim was amazing.
My mare wouldn't be able to be ridden now if it wasn't for Gene. Gene trimmed her feet so that they straightened out. Gene is a very highly skilled, experienced and knowledgeable individual. I would recommend him to everyone. I cannot speak highly enough of Gene.
As for his trimming, well try it yourself and you wont go back.

I wish you both the best of luck with the massive
move ahead.
I know Gene, his trimming and his way with horses will be as
appreciated in Victoria as much as he has been here.
I want to thank you BOTH for all the knowledge an
information you have ever passed on to me, both of you have always gone above an
beyond your duty of informing me of different matters that I have
had "no idea" about :)
Gene will be very missed both here and down south
no doubt.
